If I did this review directly after I read this volume then I would start off with an "ugh" and talk about blankets， but I am writing this after Sunday where I had an epiphany。 This epiphany affected my view of Chapter 285: Katsuki Bakugo Rising。Bakugo and Mark 9:30-9:37If you are not familiar with Mark 9:30-9:37 then let me summarize this Gospel reading。 During this passage， Jesus was correcting the Twelve's view on being the "greatest。" Jesus basically corrects them on what being the greatest If I did this review directly after I read this volume then I would start off with an "ugh" and talk about blankets， but I am writing this after Sunday where I had an epiphany。 This epiphany affected my view of Chapter 285: Katsuki Bakugo Rising。Bakugo and Mark 9:30-9:37If you are not familiar with Mark 9:30-9:37 then let me summarize this Gospel reading。 During this passage， Jesus was correcting the Twelve's view on being the "greatest。" Jesus basically corrects them on what being the greatest means by talking about a child。 I have heard this Gospel a few times throughout the year's， but yesterday I had a breakthrough due to the priest's homily。 He mentioned that being the "greatest" or being "great" is to pour oneself out for someone else。 It is about sacrificing oneself for another through a display of love。 This is comparable to a mother giving her attention to her child。 This homily made me rethink this chapter's ending and the lead up to the end。 The end seems to imply what happened with Ben Solo。 I was upset on how Ben Solo's plotline ended。 I thought he did not get anything， but I realized after the homily that my passions were disordered。 What matters is securing the glory that Jesus did: sacrificing oneself due to love。 This does not necessarily mean death as seen with a mother and her child。 It means giving oneself and not expecting any secular glory。 During this series， we see Bakugo， in a way， care about secular glory。 Remember， he was about winning and beating All Might as the Number 1 hero。 This is different from Izuku。 Who will put himself all out there for another。 We have seen throughout this series Bakugo changing。 This is culminating into this moment at the end of this volume。 When I first read this word for word， I was at a lost on what to feel。 Then I went to mass yesterday and I had a giant lightbulb moment。 Where Do We Go From Here？THAT！ is very a good question。 We know what we saw at the end， but that is not enough to know for sure what happened。 While I had my epiphany， I am not sure whether what we saw is the end result， especially when we still have a fan theory still in play。 There is a fan theory about Bakugo that seems to have gain traction during this moment between Bakugo and All Might。 Why would All Might leave something half-done？ Does All Might know more than he lets on？ Maybe I am grasping at straws， but during the author's note there is this line that gives me hope: "In the hopes that you'll keep enjoying the story to the very end， me and Deku and the whole gang won't be letting up on our PLUS ULTRA approach！" Verdict: Woah！ Can 2022 come any faster？！ I want to know what happens next！！！ 。。。more

My Hero Academia， Vol。 29 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters （277–285） of the on-going manga series。It continues the Paranormal Liberation War Arc。 Izuku Midoriya， Katsuki Bakugō and the other heroes engage a fight with Tomura Shigaraki。 Gran Torino is nearly killed by Tomura， who throws one of the quirk-destroying bullets at Shōta Aizawa， thus forcing him to amputate his leg before the drug can spread into his body。 Shōto Todoroki joins the fight， My Hero Academia， Vol。 29 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters （277–285） of the on-going manga series。It continues the Paranormal Liberation War Arc。 Izuku Midoriya， Katsuki Bakugō and the other heroes engage a fight with Tomura Shigaraki。 Gran Torino is nearly killed by Tomura， who throws one of the quirk-destroying bullets at Shōta Aizawa， thus forcing him to amputate his leg before the drug can spread into his body。 Shōto Todoroki joins the fight， but Aizawa closes his eyes， allowing Tomura to regenerate。Meanwhile， Gigantomachia brings with him the other villains to reach Tomura and overwhelms all the heroes who try to stop him， so Momo Yaoyorozu organizes a plan to stop his advance。 The students manage to briefly stall the monster， while Eijirō Kirishima throws a sedative into his mouth as Gigantomachia continues his path of destruction， destroying various cities。Tomura's body begins to tear itself apart as his upgrade is incomplete， while Midoriya unlocks Nana Shimura's quirk which allows him to float。 While Midoriya continues to fight Tomura regardless of the consequences on his physique， Bakugō prepares a plan to help him。 Endeavor uses his most powerful move on Tomura， but All For One takes possession of his body and， after injuring Endeavor， tries to strike Izuku as well， but Bakugō saves his classmate by being stabbed in place of him。Kohei Horikoshi has written and illustrated this tankōbon。 It mainly focuses on two battles – the one against Tomura Shigaraki that Izuku Midoriya， Katsuki Bakugō， Shōto Todoroki， and many heroes including Endeavour， Shōta Aizawa， and Gran Torino。 Meanwhile， Gigantomachia – a kaiju-sized Villain who is All For One's bodyguard and secret weapon， possessing multiple Quirks， makes its way towards Tomura – leaving destruction in his path。All in all， My Hero Academia， Vol。 29 is a good continuation of the series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read what happens next。 。。。more
